Ka Lam’s professional makeup journey began in 2003 at New York Fashion Week, inspired by Pat McGrath. With a Fine Arts degree from The University of Hong Kong, she found new purpose in makeup artistry to help clients feel beautiful and confident. She trained in Hong Kong, London and New York. In 2010, she founded KALAMAKEUP in Central, Hong Kong, offering professional makeup and hair for weddings, red carpets, fashion shows, editorial shoots, corporate events and makeup classes.
Over 20 years, Ka Lam has served over 800 brides for local and destination weddings, top executives for corporate shoots, celebrities and fashion shows. She has taught makeup classes at her studio and academic institutions. Her dedicated team of stylists has been with her for over 15 years, ensuring consistent, high-quality care.
Ka Lam has traveled globally for fashion and bridal clients. Her work has been featured in international editions of Tatler, ELLE, and Marie Claire. Fashion clients include the Van Cleef & Arpels, La Perla and WWD. She has worked with celebrities and designers such as Charlotte Tilbury, Vivienne Tam, Nicole Scherzinger, Lily James, Ricky Martin, Backstreet Boys and Jean-Claude Van Damme. ONE-ON-ONE | GROUP MAKEUP CLASSES
Not every woman can master professional makeup techniques, so Ka Lam loves sharing tips and knowledge on makeup and skincare products. Students learn to do their own long-lasting, durable, confidence-boosting makeup. Makeup classes cover step-by-step application in an easy manner.
Ka Lam provides cosmetic products, brushes, and tools suitable for different facial features and skin types to create flawless natural and evening looks. The course syllabus includes 2 classes, conducted in English or Cantonese.
RED CARPET GLAMOUR & FASHION EVENTS
Ka Lam leads a team of up to 50 stylists providing on-site hair and makeup across Hong Kong, Macau, and China for groups of 20 to over 100 guests — including models, executives, and all attendees. They deliver seamless, polished results at scale. With experience in fashion shows, editorials, TV commercials, concerts, and international campaigns, Ka Lam has collaborated with Chanel, Gucci, Valentino, Nicole Scherzinger, Backstreet Boys, and Ricky Martin — bringing exceptional communication, teamwork, and high-profile expertise to every event.
