Ka Lam and her team travel worldwide for destination weddings, with recent experience across Italy (including Lake Como), the South of France, Cape Town, Surrey in the UK, the Sunshine Coast in Australia, Thailand, Bali, the Maldives, China and the US. Wherever your celebration is, we build every look to hold through heat, tears, long ceremonies and hours in front of the camera.
With 22 years of experience and over 800 brides styled, Ka Lam brings the same precision and calm she's known for in Hong Kong to weddings anywhere in the world. We understand the unique demands of a destination wedding — long travel days, unpredictable venue lighting, humidity and makeup that needs to last through an entire day of celebration, from ceremony to golden-hour photos to reception dancing. Her team has worked backstage at international fashion weeks and on set with global brands, so travel logistics, unfamiliar venues and tight timelines are second nature — not a first-time challenge.

HOW INTERNATIONAL BOOKING WORKS
1. Consultation & trial
— We start with a video call to discuss your vision, venue, gown and the mood you're going for. An in-person trial can be arranged in Hong Kong before you travel, or on location if your timeline allows.
2. Custom quote
— We provide a full, itemized quote covering artistry fees, flights, accommodation, meals and ground transport, based on your location and group size — no surprises.
3. Travel & logistics
— Ka Lam and her team travel to you, arriving with everything needed to work efficiently on location, wherever the venue.
4. On-the-day team
— For larger bridal parties, additional KALAMAKEUP stylists can join to ensure everyone — bride, bridesmaids, mothers — is ready on schedule.
5. Booking lead time
— Destination weddings should be booked at least 9-12 months in advance, especially for peak European wedding season (May–October).
Destination wedding packages start from HK$20,880 — this is a separate rate from our Hong Kong bridal packages, reflecting the additional planning, travel coordination and time required for weddings outside Hong Kong. Flights, accommodation, transport, meals and visa costs are quoted separately and confirmed upfront.
Does KALAMAKEUP travel outside Hong Kong for destination weddings?
Yes. Ka Lam and the KALAMAKEUP team regularly travel for destination weddings worldwide, handling travel, accommodation and on-location logistics as part of the planning process.
How does pricing work for destination weddings outside Hong Kong?
Pricing includes your chosen bridal package plus travel costs (flights, accommodation, transport), confirmed in a full itemised quote once we know your location and group size.
How far in advance should I book an overseas wedding?
We recommend booking at least 9-12 months ahead, giving enough time to plan travel, confirm flights, and schedule your trial.
Can I book a trial remotely before you travel to my wedding?
Yes. Most international clients start with a video consultation, then confirm the full look via an in-person trial in Hong Kong beforehand, or on location if timing allows.

Ka Lam was my wedding makeup artist. She previously helped me do my hair and makeup for another function and did a wonderful job. For the wedding her and her team helped me, my mom and my sister in law get ready. I had to three dresses for the evening and she suggested to do my hair up which at first I was skeptical about as I preferred half up. It was the best decision. My hair held up throughout the evening and I didn’t have any issues changing into my dresses. My husband also said that he really liked the makeup as it enhanced how I look (he normally doesn’t like it when I wear makeup).
