1. Bookings & Deposit
— All services are by appointment only and are confirmed via a signed contract.
— To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit is required. This deposit is 50% of the total service fee and must be paid in advance to reserve your date and time.
— This deposit secures a commitment to a minimum number of clients for your event. Any cancellation or reduction in group size below this minimum will incur full liability for the minimum fee.
2. Cancellations & Changes by Client
— The deposit is strictly non-refundable.
— If you need to cancel, the following fees apply based on the notice given:
— Less than 60 days notice: 100% of the total estimated fee is charged.
— 60–89 days notice: 75% of the total estimated fee is charged.
— Over 90 days notice: The 50% deposit is retained (non-refundable).
— If the client changes the service date after the contract is signed, an additional 50% of the service fee will be charged, in addition to the non-refundable deposit.
3. Rescheduling Due to Weather
— If the event is rescheduled due to bad weather (Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning), an additional 50% of the service fee will be charged.
4. Additional Fees & Charges
— Transport: All transport fares for stylists are paid by the client. Receipts (Uber, taxi, ferry) will be provided.
— Overtime (OT): Overtime is charged at HK$1,080 per 30 minutes or HK$1,680 per 60 minutes.
5. Photography
— Photos taken by Ka Lam or the KALAMAKEUP team may be used for our online portfolio. If you do not wish for your photos to be used on social media, please inform us in advance.
